This liberal government is pretending to save a handful of EV jobs while costing western Canadian canola growers billions in lost revenue.

I have said it for years that the farm groups have poor representation.

One guy has had 2 maybe 3 federal ag ministers to his farm and has resulted in zero acknowledgment to the canola tariffs from China.

This highlights how little they accomplish while patting themselves on the back.

Weird. China does it again.. everry. Single.. yr.. some horsecrap tariff.
        black leg.
        Anti dumping.
        etc. Etc.

Drive the price down... buy up a bunch. Price comes back around ( ish) and then they do it again.

i imagine pea price took a tumble as well?

What happens if the American foot drops on the Canadian canola market and a tarrif gets announced on canola and it's derivatives.

"WOULDN'T IT BE NICE IF IT DIDN'T MATTER"?! Sometimes I don't know why we do this.

I told the apprentice to sell all green peas on the fall ship. They did half.
$13 at bin. Fell to $11.75 ("we can't sell them" from the merchants). To this.
Don't think a PM has uttered the word canola since Harper.

The way it’s going it’s only a matter of time. Should have sold a lot more.

Hopefully…China must be getting ready to buy some canola and peas. They are just crashing the market first…

Thats the beauty of a moving market....

the second you price your contract, youre wrong!

Didnt sell enough.. or sold too much!

                  Thats a tough kick tho...
Right in the teeth.... between the price of wheat, the chinese target that canola has on its back.. the cost of fertilizer...
this could really be a horrid yr to have high rents and high equipment costs.

Wonder if the drop in canola will result in a drop in fertilizer prices? *sarcasm emoji*
