Russia is the aggressor here. Ukraine should never have had to give up crimea...nor should they give up land now. .

He said it went from corrupt politicians to the mafia and corupt politicians from the other side. He said at the time it was 80-20 favouring the Ukrainians, but all the Ukrainians were forced out by either being jailed, losing their jobs, or their houses and land. They brought in Russians from outside to repopulate and force them to leave. According to him 2/3 would vote to stay apart of Ukraine if the vote had been taken a decade ago. Now there is no one left but Russians, so you know exactly how that vote would go, especially if Russia is administering the election. Because Russia is known for its fare and free elections.

Problem is lots of folks here in Canada and the USA are so ignorant of other countries predicaments and get hoodwinked by all out propaganda from foreign bad actors.

I look to history to understand the Americans actions regarding this current situation with Ukraine. The Americans stayed out of ww1 until the last minute because let’s face it a lot of Americans were of German origin, and the Germans did an effective job of distributing propaganda to deter the Americans from getting involved initially. Ww2 was about the same until Japan pushed their luck with pearl harbour. Canada, Britain, France, Belgium, Poland and Russia spilled a shit ton of blood before America became the big white heros and saved the day. Now Trump wants to meet with Vlad in Alaska, which Russian channels think they got beat out of, to have peace talks minus the country, Ukraine, being invaded. Russian apologists can go screw themselves and move to Russia to see how good what they are advocating for.

Hard to end a war when most countries finance both sides. We donate money and equipment to one side and buy our Chinese stuff from the big box stores which they use the money to buy Russian Oil which Russia uses to buy there weapons to fight the Ukrainians. We of course need the Chinese for our canola sales to pay our bills. Where do we go from here ?

I think Europe has voted. They have decided to buy oil from Russia therefore funding that side and we are funding the other in billions of dollar increments. Maybe I am wrong but we can’t fund this war forever.
