My amusement are the parties running here that didn't get elected in a different riding during the Federal election and now they're here.

Last time I looked, the only party from the main election that had a candidate listed on Elections Canada was the Conservatives. All the others are new parties that have not ran here before. (I just checked and there's a Liberal candidate listed too)

I have seen NDP signs around though so the elections website may not be fully up to date.

United Party, Libertarian Party, Christian Heritage Party.... none of them were in the election in April.

I hugely dislike the Long Ballot BS. You want to push for electoral reform, great, but this is a form of election manipulation, end of story. The potential for spoiled ballots alone is increased exponentially.

PP is putting in the miles covering the entire riding to visit with people. He's around more than Damien typically is which is good to see. Of course, the risk is when he's voted in (There ain't no way he's not getting in, doesn't matter who's mad at him, there's no alternatives to take away that kind of lead), that he just goes back to playing politics in Ottawa and forgets about the people he spoke to here.

Has anyone been to one of his town halls? I would like to get to one and see what kind of answers he has and what kind of questions he's being asked but their spam robot number only phones me for Stettler events because of my cell number and then I end up missing ones in Three Hills Hah

The part that amazes me about this discussion is that newguy really is 'NEW'. Anyways as always, the far left always figure that they are 'centrists' thus they can describe marx carnage as one. After talking about badly needed immigration reduction, we get more elderly immigration. Your kids and grandkids need more of them to support. When your leader can not win his seat and needs to pick the safest seat in Canada to get elected that should be a red flag to the party. Conservatives could easily chose an electable leader but they would rather lose than move their party away from the extreme right Trump style party.
