Friday Crop Report on a Thursday. First week of July.

This mornings radar shows perfectly the set up the past 14-18 days .
most area in the NW Sask north of hiway 16 has seen literally no measurable rainfall in that time frame

Sfa for 2 weeks E of 5 and N of 16, Wadena, Tisdale, Nipawin, PP, Hudson Bay.

crops started well, plant growth, but little subsoil so yields at risk. Strange W to E in narrow band. Missing northern forests, choking all of us ??

The radar pattern is virtually the same each time. By time the clouds get here there’s very little left in them.

Been watching windy.
Our systems seem to be blowing down from up around Yellowknife?
Normally we get whatever Edmonton is getting.
When storms come from the west the wind coming down from the NW push them further south?
Need to get out of this weather pattern and back to something closer to normal.
Rains never come down from the arctic in the summer.

Something definitely seems odd
same pattern set up as last July for the most part
rains completely dissipate every time they get to 16 from the west

Dry block holding moisture away.
sickening to watch time after time the past 3 weeks after we actually had a good start and actually had some decent potential still a week ago
Crops hanging on a thread here
smoke and lower temps will give us a few days yet here locally but the farther north you go it’s near over

Looks like Regina and east are getting good rains today.Will not be going to AIM, not much interest with our withering crop.
