Klarenbach research has some good advice on that topic right now. And a very good track record so far. I highly recommend.

I was very tempted to start selling some of my 2024 conola at 14.50 its at 14.69 today for may , i have a man that will haul when i'm seeding , great time for hauling as their is almost no lineups , good gains in wheat also , sell some or wait ??
i know if i sell it will go up lots more !

Orange Swan events are much more common.

That would be zero basis on the highest price traded today for nearby?
                You got it!

Wonder how much they bought at that nice round number for a target?
Bet they will be good for a while?

Seems we're always lagging behind here. Maybe we'll see stronger bids with the opening of Cargill's crush facility west of Regina this fall. The AGT/Federated Co-op announcement was trashed. Viterra/Bunge....must be trashed too, never heard much of anything since all three were announcing crush plants in the Regina area near the same timea while ago. RP trucks grain from their nearby terminals to Yorkton crush facility, so "local" terminal bids aren't as high as the Crusher delivered bids. ADM Lloydminster seems to have higher bids too. LDC Yorkton???

It sure seems like canola tries to fight back up to a higher value after every time it gets sucker-punched. Tight supplies and higher competing (****seed?)/canola seed prices in Ukraine and Australia indicate our canola should probably be priced higher.

But market volatility has canola growers head-shy and psychologically paranoid and probably willing to accept values lower than they should be. What SHOULD the price be without the political interference, tight supplies and higher priced competing exporters?

And don't forget the US ECAP payment ,and considering exports , crush and the lower production , your price seems reasonable.
