    The barley market is bs. Maltsters make guys jump through hoops for quality yet elevators will give you a premium on your feed barely if it has good germination. Would be bloody laughable if it wasn’t wrong.

      A clear indication of gross over supply. And changing demand. It's a new world. Stop growing it or play the game. The last contract I read 4 years ago, made me mad. I've heard they're better now?

          $5.50 feed barley is kind of depressing. Hopefully fall prices become much stronger than that.

              Could be a lot of swing acres come March in some areas .
              A lot will depend on crop insurance, fertilizer prices and snow / moisture by then .

                Big fan of AAC Wheatland VB, unless you like straw. Its been top yielder dry and wet years. Standability and easy to thresh.

                  Agree , our favourite here too
                  had Silas in as well , it Looked far more impressive, a bit harder to thrash , yield and protein about the same .
