Oz crop in trouble , heat , drought

No one mentions this , funny when they had a bumper for 2 years, they were flooding the market
Now they aren’t worth a mention
Prices are moving up fast there

You guys getting near the end there ?
We’re on last quarter, nice feeling !
Barley, peas , alfalfa and canary sure didn’t like the 3.5” we had
Canola and wheat took it the best

Last 80ac here , flax much like the wheat and canola . Where there was good snow cover it’s decent

Very short and thin in exposed areas

It’s amazing how yes we can disagree politically but still be farmers .
Chuck is a complete loser…. Sorry . In fact the biggest loser ever is the history of agriville by far , bar none .
Sorry it had to be said

And yes the free market will eventually see the Australian crop downturn and pay
Just like a few years ago when your sorbeans ran way up in price and you were able to capture that.
                  Just sayin

We just went through heat and drought and prices are in the toilet.

El Niño is expected to be here all winter which means warm and no snow.

Only thing rising is fert prices.

Wonder how busy the floaters are going to be this fall?

Seems to be totally irrelevant to markets here
                      Crop prices still plummeting.

Crop better than expected in western Canada? I know we were surprised with our yields on less 4” of rain, couldn’t imagine if we had got another 2” of rain in late June and July where we would of been.

                          Depends on perspective
We were expecting 20 bus canola or less , got better than expected, but still well below average
Rain areas west and north of here were expecting 60 plus , it’s not happening on average

If this comes true, it seems noteworthy coming from the worlds 3rd largest producer.

Picture didn't post. Predicting a 48% decline in canola production in Australia compared to last year.

Well it will be interesting, here in Canada 15-20% of the canola will be average to above average
40% below average and 40% well below average

But traders already have decided that the 15-20% will more than make up for the 80% .

                              Marketed without fundamental reason anymore

Simply price will be at just above COP for the 20% and the other 80% well too bad .

And no crop insurance does not guarantee SFA

Get just under your coverage level and $15 on the market …… run the numbers , it’s not good .
