A lot, but not all new equipment reminds me of a clock with 6 hands.

Now that Bourgault has a sideband drill, there are more comparisons in the Agronomy trials between side band and MRB. We will never know if they are including all of the data in their results or only the hand picked data that supports their objective.

One thing for sure, Bourgault is very in tune with improvements to existing products and looking ahead. Seems most other manufacturers are content to develop a seeding tool and then do nothing for 20 years.

Looking at BGs tanks/product delivery, I see it the other way around

Do their manifolds still have a dead end in them like a brick wall ?
That sure was hard on seed

To me, a single delivery auger akin to a sausage stuffer, to then distribute and section control at multiple manifolds, compared to everyone else?
Is really like JD hanging on to the 2 cylinder for an extra decade.

I had a Bourgault tank once. A few times seeding barley it would bridge above the auger and quit flowing out. Everything turning as it should but only seeding air. Got used to what sprocket to use for a certain fertilizer rate but as the auger wore out the rates would change.
Needed to clean that damn auger regularly because it would gum up with fertilizer and also goof up rates. Hard to be impressed with it!

Dad had a flexicoil 1610 tank 1989 vintage. “Upgraded” to a 8800 and 3195 Bourgault. Simple in a sense but took a step backwards in accuracy and reliability with the cart. Set for canola was like throwing darts. Oats fml. Tank was durable and didn’t break but that metering and distribution system was trash. I’d like a bourgault cart with a Morris or Flexicoil metering system. Deere is okay but the corrosion issue.

we had one years ago , was horrible , sun would go behind a cloud and 20 lb less fert going down
must be good now cause 75% here are BG
but those manifolds were brutal , don't try seeding borage with them , they turn it to oil

Best rig I seen was a 5710 behind a flexi cart. Unit ran for years and grew as good of crops as his fancy paralink does today.
