Have been growing Copeland forever and would like to try something newer. I have narrowed it down to Synergy and Connect, which one is better? I am in East Central Sask and looking for input.

Been growing Synergy for 4 yrs.
100% malt acceptance.
Yields way better than Copeland.
Connect seems close with better standability.
Fraser sounds good but local viterra and RP say limited yet..
We average close to 100 b/a this yr..
80 lbs N 10 lb potash as per soil tests..

Perfect I will definitely have no regrets putting Copeland to rest.Originally posted by Partners View PostBeen growing Synergy for 4 yrs.

Not very far from Rahr. I tried growing malt for about 5 years. Unfortunately during this time we had less than ideal falls. Besides the only time Rahr would consider buying my grain was when their regular growers were short. In the end I concluded it was an absolute waste of time. I have grown Synergy, I don’t know about acceptance, but much better to grow than Copeland. Yields and stands better. Sirish feed barley stands better than Synergy and outyielded it by 15-20% this year.Originally posted by caseih View Post$8.50 malt
