Getting malt for me was simply an aggressive proactive approach.
But the spread would have to triple.
I've said it before. A highly overproduced specialty crop.
Unhedge-able for either party as well.
Growing a little feed next year for a max bushel learning experience.
I'm in the bushel business not the storage business.

$1.27 price difference between malt and fd at both local plants now..
So at $18 canola, how many acres will go elsewhere?

Any hope for Oats? $4.50 is poorest paying crop.
