Hey, it's just weather drought in SW U.S. drought in Europe. When is it real? Is there a tipping point or just a passing occurrence?

If truly changing that FAST, nothing we can do but adapt....taxes are for 2050, after hydrocarbons and cows are killed.

How is India doing or South America? Thought I read somewhere China was the worlds largest wheat producer but consumed it all and then some. Chinese guy was telling me the south grows the rice while north they grew lots of wheat. Diet and cuisine reflects that in those regions.

SW U.S. is technically a desert 🌵 with far too many people living there putting extra strain on water resources. Although the last 4 weeks of SW monsoons have eased drought conditions tremendously, but they won’t show that yet

Exactly. There’s been efforts underway in China to transform the desert into productive farmland through irrigation. How much of Asian agriculture relies on irrigation? Must be substantial as rice don’t grow without flood irrigation. It’s really a pig on water truth be told. Fertilization methods don’t follow the 4 r’s neither. US southwest don’t grow unless it’s watered neither. Much as we can experience drought as well, generally rain fed cropping works and we don’t need to water every season to get a crop.

Adding a huge problem to the SW U.S. is unfettered immigration chearleaded by the Dumycrats. Adding even more strain on water resources.
Although I find it interesting Texas is busing them to DC as fast as they can lol .
The Democrats in New York and DC are crying now ….. when the shoe on the other foot .
Anyway , yes there has been drought but the rains have been all through the area west of Texas and east of California but not a word said about that . Although not big crop country , it is replenishing some water reservoirs

I seen where the outfit who controls the water levels on lake mead is purposely restricting inflows of water to bring it down enough it triggers some federal law that enables them to restrict upstream water use. Politics is at play besides drought. It’s a fight over water between Wyoming and smaller states against California and the like for who gets the water. Democrat scum.
