My L340 needs a little bit of love after yesterday's hail

Our canola fields are black now made the call to crop ins. on friday . Looks like someone took a hammer to sons car and truck. I just took the mirrors and tail lights off loader tractor but windows ok. Trees shredded and 3ft. hay crop now 3 inches in spots . Wonder what heated mirrors cost and can a glass place change them and transfer the heat pad. If not case IH will see a winfall

That sounds rough and this year is giving you some fairly nasty blows. Hopefully your weather gives you a break soon.

Busy here getting everything in place to release the cutter bees.
Another one of those Sask farm girls that doesn’t mind getting dirty. Don’t know what I would do without her.

Canola fields are black here too , but not from hail. Barely see rows. Could be really ugly if frost does not hold off till Oct.

It is usually around the July 1st
Day or two either way. Lots of years when most people are drinking beer and watching fireworks we are out putting bees in the fields.

That sounds rough and this year is giving you some fairly nasty blows. Hopefully your weather gives you a break soon.

Still hoping to get greenfeed sowed lots of guys corn silage will be 1/2 a crop and I have to get a field of hay that I reseeded this spring sprayed for grasshoppers. The little buggers won't leave new alfalfa plants alone you would think with all the rain and cool weather that would not be a problem. Might have to use plane so not to leave ruts, fun never ends .

Not familiar with leaf cutters at all. What do you do with the bees for the rest of the year? We have plenty of hives on our place from the local honey guy and they stay in the field year round.

Put them out July 1st
They live 6 weeks about then around Christmas we harvest the cocoons out of Styrofoam blocks with a stripper
Then incubate cocoons for 3 weeks about June 8 the following year
Excess cocoons are sold to Americans

Starts growing as soon as you open the bag and never stops
Seeded may 26 at 4.5 lbs

Depends how heavy the dew is and cold mornings. Was only plus 6 here the other morning
