And Quebec. its over Justin you scumbag. Trucker have won.

The exodus out of Canada was the real threat. Truckers helped seal the deal. Nobody is going to live in a frozen tundra version of North Korea when Florida is a plane ride away.

Nobody said restrictions would not end just not when the insurrections say so. So the blockades are ending?

This is the thing. How much longer would they drag their feet before they made such decisions if it wasn’t for the protest? Or this was already on the books. Doesn’t matter either way but the optics of who is in control of reversing Covid measures is key. Provinces control most of the Covid measures so they one by one relax them and save face. Ultimately feds left looking like assholes with no roadmap to easing restrictions. It is all about optics.

Canada is undergoing brain drain version 10. Capital is fleeing. People moving. I believe that is an underlying motivation.

But these guys were obviously intent on dragging it out another 6 months at least. Just in time for the new variant.

Exactly. They are running the country like the ndp ran Sask in the 90’s. Don’t you think?
