Why does this story sound familiar, and coming from the same crowd too?
Because they use the same line every time someone points out the tragically horrible failures of Socialism /Communism every time it has been attempted.
It is always the incorrect application that is to blame, never the theory itself.

Flu still at record low in US. Peak occurs between Oct and Feb. Nearly half way through already.

Well in Manitoba flu "cases" are also close to zero. Roussin was asked about this and said "it's because of wearing masks and following the precautions". Then the next day Manitoba get's locked down because we're "not wearing masks and not obeying the precautions".

Was in S’toon yesterday. Wow, business as usual. No one “social distancing”, everyone thinking masks are the answer obviously. I could not believe the crowds of ppl in all the stores.

They seem to think masks will save them.

Masks are only 70 % effective at best. Keep your distance , sanitize your hands and don't touch your face. Without shields eyes are susceptible if you are in close contact.

Well, I will join you in blaming all the others I saw. Because while I naturally keep my distance as a rural, respector of personal space, 96% of ppl I saw yesterday, don’t share my sentiment.

I remember I was the one being blamed before. That ppl like me would enhance Covid spread. Then I went, and I saw. It’s them. It’s the 96%

                I blame the 96%.

This thing is never going to go away at this rate!

Hence all the rules and lockdowns. People are generally stupid and selfish. That's why when you go spouting off about anti mask, conspiracy theories, figuring it's a hoax etc, most of us put you in the category of the 96%. Your choice how you want to be perceived.

The media keeps saying the outbreaks come from family gatherings. I beg to differ. Workplaces with masses of people in one room, all day, then radiating out into public. Why should a family gathering with a dozen people together for a couple of hours be vilified and not the mass workers?

This summer, when mask wearing was probably in the 5% range, most people kept their distance. I would go to China Tire or Walmart and people would stay well away. Definitely no brush by's.
As soon as mask wearing became the norm and then forced by law, most people started paying less or no attention to keeping their distance.
Also trying to have any kind of conversation with masks, naturally forces people to stand closer together just to hear each other. Self defeating.

YES all of you are correct, MASKS make it all worse due to feeling protected when they STILL permit infections. Actually are a TOTAL joke for infinitely tiny viruses. Saw all the same things in Humboldt, Tisdale and Yorkton. We are DOOMED, will be forced to stay home for months on end. Good it's COLD outside. NOT so Merry Christmas to all!
