Life happens, its how we learn. We have great safety records out there. It never made the news before is all.
Now let the families grieve in peace.
So you want less rules, less enforcement and more workplace deaths? Some workers and employers will put themselves in risky situations that can result in accidents. There is nothing wrong with trying to prevent them in the first place is there?

Stop proving my point. Read it again.
For the most part we have adequate rules. I did not call for less rules. Stop perpetuating the idea that more control can make life risk free.

It’s not about reducing all risks to zero. It’s about preventing as many workplace deaths and injuries as possible. Good rules, strict enforcement so everyone follows the rules and common sense will prevent lots of accidents. But not all. But this is all just more red tape that will hurt the bottom line? Correct? That’s why you are opposed?

Explain how Saskpower could have better rules and better enforcement over their current safety protocols.

Simply opposed to your eternal position of ever more enforcement as the go to solve for everything. Its become a red flag word.

That’s up to them. Not me. They are responsible for their workers and safety.

But you support more “enforcement “ when it comes to criminal justice issues! That’s a red flag often flown by some.

Enforcement is part of the solution when it comes to worker safety. There are still lots of employers who don’t want to enforce common sense safety rules, so do we ignore them and let them do what they want or if the rules are in place shouldn’t we enforce them? I sure don’t think workers Should have to put up with unsafe working conditions. Would you put your kids and family members into that situation or would you prefer some Safety rules and enforcement?

Ive always believed we have plenty of law enforcement. They just cant do their jobs is all. No where have i called for more police.
Ive seen people nearly killed and knew a few who were. Kids rush in. Old fools are dangerous. My kid will know how to say No hopefully.
Human nature to skirt the rules.
Most big industrial employers and i assume all union employers already have a layer of foreman and supervisors sign off on hazard assessment and assuming personal liability. Not sure if more legal weight or more $350/day safety persons looking for trouble would make it better.
What magical laws would make a line mans job risk free?

The left way. Buys more votes by making new rules than strictly enforcing the ones already in place.
