The best long term sanction would be for every carrier in the world to stop flying into this shithole. If you want to be astonished, go to one of the flight tracker sites and see just how many airliners are still overflying Iran.

We certainly need to separate the people from the regime in all cases, however, the shia sunni divide has been going on long before the US was a country and there is no question current Iranian leadership wants to establish their influence in the wider region. They could be ISIS x 100 if that happens. One guy as trying to make that a reality until the US stood up.

Maybe you miss understood my post. The impression that I have is Canada, Britain or France wouldn't suggest the plane was shot down unless they were pretty much certain that it was. Whereas chuck was casting doubt. This is one time I will side with the Canadian government. Although I am not sure what their response will be.

So they might have been expendable in the eyes of that govt. Maybe the message was for the west and its own minority population trying to demonize the west and set more people aflame. I said it may have been a way for the Iranian govt to manipulate Iran's own sunni minority population and any reformers in their midst trying to shift the blame back onto the Americans with a false flag attack.

I agree, their regime is total evil, so they probably hate those that left/escaped their rules. The smartest/richest got the hell out. The missile taking down the plane is Either a horrendous mistake that makes them look like IDIOTS, or on purpose to look totally EVIL.
