THANKFULLY????????????? I've been paying premiums into AgStab for quite afew years knowing I don't stand much hope of ever collecting....... Am I being subsidized? I pay no Crop Insurance premiums because I am not forced into participating because of my debt structure..... Am I being subsidized?Originally posted by furrowtickler View PostBut farmers get subsidized through these programs , chuck says so .

Good move ..because if they make any payments it won't be through agri stability....it will be a broad based ad hoc....Originally posted by Hamloc View PostI pulled out of Agri-Stability 3 years ago, it was my belief then and today that it was a waste of time and money.
They have let their incompetence go on so long the only solution is a per acre payment....cant fix it with tax breaks for farmers or any other solution ...the crisis is too far gone....big crop or not....grain prices have not kept pace with inputs and capital required....

I don't say that, the backwards looking data referenced in the NFU publication your prior thread linked says that.Originally posted by grassfarmer View PostAnd there is no farm income crisis according to AlbertaFarmer5 so why are you all complaining?
And when I pointed that out, instead of countering the data, you just disappeared from the thread you started, because it was inconvenient to acknowledge the falsehoods it was based on.

My comment today:
The reply:Originally posted by grassfarmer View PostAnd there is no farm income crisis according to AlbertaFarmer5 so why are you all complaining?
A quote from the previous thread:Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View PostI don't say that, the backwards looking data referenced in the NFU publication your prior thread linked says that.
And when I pointed that out, instead of countering the data, you just disappeared from the thread you started, because it was inconvenient to acknowledge the falsehoods it was based on.
you also said:Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View PostGrassfarmer, to be fair, just because I don't agree that farm income is in a crisis....
You said it clear as day. No farm income crisis. Based on your misunderstanding of Darrin's graphic and data as well as current happenings in agriculture. I "disappeared" from the thread because although you can take a horse to water you can't make it drink, especially one that's been beaten to death. We can agree to disagree but don't claim you didn't say there is no farm income crisis.Originally posted by AlbertaFarmer5 View PostUntil land prices drop to zero, and land goes unrented, there is no income crisis in agriculture.

No, I analyzed the original data, and interpreted it for you. Not an opinion when it is backed up with the data.
Which doesn't change the fact that we both agree there is room for improvement, but you didn't respond to my last post to you discussing potential solutions to make farms more profitable. Even Chuck agreed with most of it.
