The buses speed is irrelevant. Fate put them in front of the semi.
I am fortunate in having all Class 1s around now.
If Tom could clarify his issue (other than mania), pertinent replies would follow.
Getting a Class 1 in AB now a rigamorole you betcha.
All schools now owned by brownfaces.
Course material translated by English as second language people. Get the farm employee extension and still have to retake before Nov 2020 under the MELT guidelines.
Class 5 ?? Who cares Tom? Kids need more training anyway.

ONE second either way NOBODY dies! Fate, your time, whatever happens at times, everything has to go perfectly to be a disaster for those involved.

Not sure if the information is accurate but for sure it matters. Speed and distracted driving kills.

I preach defensive driving into the kids every chance I get, now grandkids time. You gotta watch those side roads, not only do cars fail to stop, guys pull out unexpectedly from stop signs in front of traffic too. A guy pulled out in front of our 20 year-old son north side of Yorkton. The dozy guy driving a convertible told the cop that he drove without resting from Nova Scotia. Good thing son had anticipated and took the left ditch after clipping the little car. You gotta watch those side roads - Period!

I agree people entering from side roads are the worst they don't slow down until last minute you can't telll if they are going to stop or not. Most don't stop until front tires are almost on cross road way past stop sign. Then they take off before you are even by them what is it that people coming off gravel and side roads seem yo be in such a hurry. Semi's are the worst for this.

walterm, "Semi's are the worst for this."

When I'm hauling grain with my semi, all I see are cars doing this, racing up to a stop sign hoping to get across or turn ahead of me, then they realize, they don't have enough time. Or you can see a car stopped(or not) at a roadway up ahead, and sure as hell, they'll pull out in front of me, just to get ahead of me, of course they don't care if I have to brake and slow down for them.

I have a hard time believing many semi drivers are driving hard right up to a stop sign and then hammering the brakes, that's something cars and pick-ups do, not semis.

You haven't met my friend from north of Elstow who owns the stretch of highway 16 from Elstow to the crush plant turnoff

Why use this example? We know who was at fault. And we know all the faults that had him in the road.
                    Let the rest be already.

I think Tom might be grumpy because of the tighter rules around 1A license.
                      I can understand.
Things were good here until a "culture" of rule breakers and benders arrives with their standards and beleifs that are not ours. A whole SEPERATE Industry was built around an existing one and for getting immigrants their commercial licenses. Rubberstamping proved fatal.

As I said in a previous post. Any new immigrant to this country should have to drive with only a class 5 and for the same probationary period Canadian citizens new drivers have to, or maybe more! .....before they can even attempt to TRAIN for a 1A.

Yup Canada, Where we bend and twist ourselves into pretzels to suit everyone else!

Good luck harvesting Tom. And get some rest,
                      Take care.
