    trump whispered about steel tariffs

And everyone is up going mental about it.

Maybe the government should cool its jets about it for a few months and put it at the bottom of the list and solve some other pending tariffs first?

Maybe the steel workers could use a couple more extensions on their mortgages to buy groceries.

Of course I say this sarcastically because these things all just highlight the incompetence of this liberal government...

    on a unrelated topic...
Marc garneau has an open line with CN ....why not just ask the fox about the henhouse?

Trudeau was not responsible for India's raising pulse tariff. Brian Clancy says so because he knows how Indians think👎

That was amusing to watch, even though I think he's an idiot he usually does have a gift for talking but not in this case.

Try to follow my following anology.. .

              1. Tariffs on pulse industry causes problems to farmers in the form of elevator closure and cash flow
...current expectations are over one billion of revenues to Saskatchewan farmers....

Now, an elevator is just one facility in viterra's global network....

              2. Tariffs on steel industry causes problems for steelworders and companies.....expectations of millions lost...

Now, evraz is just one facility in evraz's global network...

One gets the government's and opposition's attention real quick.

The other gets ignored and how dare a farmer ask the government or opposition to intervene in private graincos business. ...

              Clear as mud everyone....

Yup exactly. Just pisses me off that emergency debates about pipelines happen instantly while anything ag is a back burner issue.

The ****ing railways have been dog****ing since last year....the numbers prove it...

The government funds the daily and weekly Ag Transport Coalition reports and then doesn't read or understand them...

How the **** do you have 3.1 mmt o vessels at the west coast with thunder bay closed....without someone not seeing it coming when they hit 200000 tonnes a week with reasonable weather...

We are paying for the idle boats....not the graincos or railways....

It's been 5 years and 20 prior for any stripe of government to make anyone but farmers financially responsible for this cluster**** again....billions. ....again.

                  The dumb****led farmer.TM.

Because they get the majority of the farm vote whether they do anything for you or not.
Don't know if you caught it but CBC had a 10 minute interview with KAP President at lunchtime today on the rail transport problems. He was in Ottawa lobbying Ministers and gave a good account of himself on the radio. It was the first story ahead of the Trump/steel tariff one. CBC doing their part trying to raise awareness of the problems facing prairie farmers.

If you can use them there is at least 1mi of hopper cars setting on the siding about 25mi north of Edmonton no loading facilities anywhere near.

Hey it’s March 2014 all over again. CN Rail is hauling 2 mile long trains of crude oil in DOT 100 Tanker Cars....Trumps got the USA humming so they need it again.

Grain guys you can just pound sand, the railways will get to you when they are ready, and it’s 100 percent certain all the grain will be there sitting waiting for them. You farmers are so nice and accommodating to Fake Rail.

Go to Edmonton and along 16 watch the marvel of the railway efficiently moving oil as grain cars air parked.

I’m the furthest thing from a socialist, but the railway screams for government control of a that monopoly....but then again with present government....gawd it could be even worse!!
