Not just on every acre - it's being collected on every "connected" human, through the use of credit cards, points cards, cell phone usage, smart appliances, etc.

My sons handle and install grain bin monitoring systems which can be remotely read and controlled.

Anything that has or uses electronics and wifi is a "minable", marketable commodity.

Zuckerburg has gotten independently wealthy on the collection and marketing of "private" info which people give to him for free, LOL!

There is no such thing as privacy anymore, unless you're Amish.

It really doesn't help when guys are paying Cargill to "scout" their farm. There are ways around this if you care.

Klause, they really don't focus on this stuff locally. It's macro and it's cycles that AI is finding. Qants etc are what they are piling into.

This shit! ..... and it is very very tradable. Every grain co has their own version. Cargill had the third largest intelligence agency in the 70's. This is not cutting edge technology, it's been around since the 80's. It all revolves around Pi 3.14. Somehow govt seems to think they control the economy ..... It all repeats.

            Yes... That's another spoke.

The guys that do this whole connected farm thing.. i.e. Agritrend customers... Computers analyze every minute tidbit of information then use compare algorithms to super impose the details of your farm over large areas.

Cargil has 300 plus agents tasked with collecting information from all corners of the globe. Continental bunge adm ldm all have similar agencies within them.

They used to have surveyors on horseback reporting vis telegram...

            Then Telex fax and internet.

The web and social media disrupted their advantage... We all can now have instant access to crop conditions world wide... So this big data play is to maintain their ability to stay one step ahead.

Think about it this way.... You're searching for something on the web.
. Go on Facebook Twitter or this site and all of a sudden you're shown ads for what you were searching for.

Lots of tiny pieces of data about you collected from many different sources paint a complete picture.

Google knows more about you than you do.

Would it be safe to say your IP address and cell phone number are the windows through which the world sees you.

If you have a Google account or YouTube or Facebook sessions carry across to sites with Google ads.

                    Just one example.

I am surprised that people will put their real name, relatives and birthday on Facebook. For some reason I can't expose myself and my family to the entire world like that. Sometimes you can be on the Ipad and the profile of a person totally unknown to you pops up. Also google your name. You may be surprised-who puts all that stuff on the internet?
