Sorry bgmb. Stressful day. Didn't so much mean you kinda started ranting. Questioning everything is a fundamental belief of mine.

Things like this https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/breaking-ontario-passes-totalitarian-bill-allowing-govt-to-take-kids-from-c

Scare the shit out of me... Just like this tax law. My family has lived through this... Along with the radicalization of universities... It ends in civil war.

NO worries I totally agree with your first post 100% on the problems we are facing as business ppl and farmers in Canada today. Those would basically be my top issues. I would just be very careful about thinking somewhere else is any better....

As far as political look to Ottawa... Alberta (bill 6)...

Canadians love going on about how great Canada is... But we need to stop doing that and start looking at what we've given up or lost in 30 years. Kinda scary to look at.
Alberta (bill 6)... WTF?? I thought you were an intelligence man. Smart people do not follow the lunatic fringe.

Is this graph real? In the past 50 years farm debt has increased by approx 19 times and net farm income has increased 2 times?
I would have to ass ume farmers have signed over most of the equity to the lenders in order to function. If this graph is real, lenders are succeeding very well and the farmers not so much.
Now you have me confused!!

"Put your head back in the sand and keep telling yourself everything is ok... Your province is run by a guy who spends half the time in a central American resort town... And the official opposition leader is a wife beater who has written songs about molesting women.

And the sad thing is... That's not the most screwed up political scene in Canada."

When you lived in Manitoba you couldn't wait for Pallister to be Premier, now he's not good enough for you.I guess you were happy with Brad's performance.

Who said everything is ok. I for one know it's not prefect. Yes there are political issues here in Manitoba and Canada that are certainly screwed up. But if you feel living under Putin's rule would be better by all means go ahead. Or if you want to walk around with a conceal weapon just move south of the forty nine. Don't let anybody stop you.

As for working hard from an early age, many on here have gone through that and lived and farmed through some very though times, so no need to tell us. Many started with nothing and built their farms into prosperous businesses. Your not the only one that worked hard!

If Germany was so good why did your father immigrate to Canada. Now Canada isn't good enough for you. There seems to be a trend developing!

When you lived in Manitoba all you did is complain about the province, now you farm in Sask and have started to complain about Canada. Why come on here on Agriville and yap how good it could be to farm in Russia, sell the farm and move, a little less talk and more action pal.

I wonder if the Russia people would be as forgiving towards a German as Canadians have been?
Klause, thank you. We as Canadians should be patriotic enough to fight for our rights. This country's values are being eroded and the process of degeneration is being supported by wreckless regimes - and we all bumble along. Are we happy with how the government is managing the Canada our forefathers built, fought for and in some cases gave their young lives for?

I just hope the lunatic fringe never get back into power in Saskatchewan or I may be forced to move.

As for Klause I just hope you stay. You are the kind of people Saskatchewan needs and I like your agronomic topics that you bring up here.

If I may.
Upon listening to friends of various ages and remembering myself at certain ages.
Sometimes the flavor of our angst belies our age, hence perspective.
Klause, I'm on your side with everything you said, but I've been up to my neck in shit for so long here I'm not startin over.
A perspective story.
When an elderly South Korean peasant was asked if concerned about nukes. Replied that if she didnt tend her garden she would die. If nukes fell they all die. So she must continue to tend her garden.

Regarding other countries. Never been to Oz. But other than it(except for the *** bugs & snakes) and US and us, not interested. You ever watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?

Regarding the end of days. No cycle is new. You will be dead before this one plays out.

Yep, lots of graphs like that from different sources but one thing is constant - the net farm income flatlining along the bottom of the graph since the 1970s.

You're right on Klause with your comments. I've been around long enough to see all the freedoms we've lost, all the values we've lost, all the rights we've lost. Were becoming more socialist by the day but that is exactly what Grass and some on here want.

After reading the posts on this thread , I would say don't give up hope. There were many years I wondered about my future. But hang in there, if it was easy everyone would do it.

I would also say keep posting like you do. Everyone needs exposure to new ideas even though you get the responses from the chorus of grumpy old men.

If you are really concerned then get involved in the decision making. You have lots of good ideas.

That graph is fakek news.

Klause, If you actually look at realized net income which is what the graph shows, it is correct.
