    RM Taxes

    How much do ya'll pay per quarter of open land on average?


    Just curious to see how it varies from place to place.


    Here, 700 to 900 a quarter....

    As I wait in the dealership waiting room for recall work to be done.....

    Too many variables....soil class, geographical features....which should be reflected in assessment. RMs and MDs that have alot of other tax bases can keep land taxes lower than those who rely solely on ag land as the taxbase. We have a "few" oil wells, two major pipeline corridors, a couple pumping stations and maybe some other tax base that helps keep ag land low. Our school tax is bigger than our municipal.

    Do RRs and shortlines pay municipal taxes?

          Here in tory blue alta I pay about $250/1/4 with the yard site out but the 3 acre yd costs $1200. Thats with school but we get no fire or any thing except roads graded a few times /yr.

                About $900 for 100,000 assessment, selling for 1500-2000/ acre, renting for 60-80 cash or 20-25% of gross.

                  $1250 per quarter average here.
                  Approx $115,000 average assessment.
                  Next RM over $750 with similar assessment and better services.
                  Yes there's a lot of corruption in the first RM... Don't get me started...

                    Sorry that's for 70k to 90k assessment

                    Includes our road and c/d levies


                    Our yard is 212k assessment on 14 acres and pays 1442 a year
