Environment Canada is predicting actual "rain" Tuesday. - not showers starting starting at noon ending at 2:00. Yesterday some fall disced fields were trying to blow in Southern Saskatchewan with winds gusting to 85. There's no snow and no run-off but moisture conditions here are perfect for an early spring.
Did you see the end of the brier game between Jacobs ( N.Ontario) and Koe (Alberta)? The precise shot making will be talked about for years but the ending was epic as the winner was determined out on a measure. We are all singing Al - Ber - Ta.

You get rain on dry we get WET SNOW on SNOW, highs near zero, grid roads will be destroyed again. They are a rutted mess now, fields still white, soil saturated last fall. Enjoy your DRY.

Northeast Sask looks to be getting 5" snow Tuesday.

Found a guy working his field by Edenwold yesterday. Yet on other side of valley snow and water running.
Ah the prairies.

Water running.... Fields soaked... Still have some snowcover.


Don't need any rain, snow, or other moisture till after seeding.


Wish this would head down Jagfarm's and jdgreen's way.

Surprise to see large sloughs go down as much as they have over winter.
Three to six foot deep at freeze up now a foot or two lower, spring areas in fields now slowed or stopped running.
Without more moisture and major runoff, should see water table back to normal by mid summer, first time for five or six years.

We could absorb it.A bit of run off would be a good thing around here.If things start to grow early seeding may be best ever as far as getting a good pre burn and seeding corner to corner.
