    Pulse Levy refund

They are considering making the Pulse Levy refundable. I thought the model worked quite well. Apparently there are assets of about 24 million and the levy for 12-13 crop year was 13 million. Is the money being spent wisely. We have a pulse industry today! Instead of making it refundable, maybe reduce to the levy if there is more there than is needed. Can you imagine the income from the levy this crop year with the price of pulses. Any thoughts?

    Farma,

Bang on. Reduce the levies. Seems easy for them to raise the levies... you would have thunk should be even easier to reduce them. All Alberta levies are already refundable... you folks in SK can catch up.. at least on one thing! Grin!!!

I would offer a swap... I would take Mandatory levies... for your WCB/OHS system!

And yes... the other deal... Brad would be a no brainer! IF Dow and Dupont can merge... how about ABSK!!!

Brad wall is a puppet with zero vision.

When people figure out how poorly he managed this boom he will be out of a job as well.

        Bucket,

Be thankful for the leadership you have... he has done a good job compared to so many others... Brad is the only sane voice on the Climate Change file.

Encourage Premier Brad! Wish him a Merry Christmas!

        Cheers!

bucket would you rather have Alberta's NDP?

            Or Manitoba's?

Maybe not everything he does is perfect but a helluva lot better than the alternative.

In ten years you will understand how ****ing stupid he is/was.

Quit looking at today and look into the future which is what politicians are paid to do.

Calvert had more vision. Wall is riding his coat tail as history will prove.

And I am not a ndp supporter but I do expect more from the so called conservatives.

Pulse acres will be huge this year so a decreased mandatory levy might be the answer.

O88, the prices paid for pulses this year alone should net out a large levy. What would you recommend they do?

I'm not a pulse grower but you and Tom have a reasonable idea, reduce the levies.
