I say reduce the levy but keep it mandatory. It has done a lot of good but collecting too much of a windfall promotes crazy spending.

Bucket , you are absolutely insane to say Calvert had more vision than Wall. I think the Calvert years were the lost years no vision, no purpose, just floundering.

Wall has paid down debt, improved roads, raised personal exemptions so people with lower income pay no tax, built a stadium which never would have happened under the NDP. There is absolutely no way you can compare Wall to Calvert.

Wall hasn't paid a nickel on the debt. And when he's done the province will owe more.

        Just like harper.

You guys are blinded by idealogy. I will tell you my predictions for this province and who will own what later.

Pulses have been breathed life into the non-traditional Canola zone for 35 odd years now - our farming life. The pulse board was instrumental in fostering the research done by Slinkard. Thank you Jesus.

Sask pulse has brought more wealth to farmers than other commodity group(especially canola)

They Also have the best seed model for farmers being able to access New varieties without breaking the bank or paying Royalties Every year till your dead
            Thank you Jesus

If they don't put that money into breeding root rot resistant varieties the pulse industry will be fuked in short order. It should have been started 10 years ago. The pulse industry has done zero work on potentially the worst problem

                Fully refundable

I will allocate the funds to the investment of my choosing because after all its my money.

The levy is nothing more than a tax. A tax in its purest form.

In 1980, we were up to our eyeballs in debt, but we had 160 acres of Summerfallow, paid $1.20/lb for foundation Laird lentils. Everything went wrong that could go wrong, but we ended up with a lot of #3 lentils, dried from 26% moisture. They germinated and were sold for seed at 45 cents/ lb and were spread around our district for many years. Growing lentils and cleaning grain got us out of debt pretty fast, fast enough to but up land in the downturn. We would have been hooped with 21-23-24% interest rates. They saved our butts for sure.

Funny thing about lentils and peas aND othe pulses.....there are no puts, calls or exchanges for them and people make good money growing them.

Just wait til the big money men decide there needs to be a derivative market on them as well.

Pulses ....just food people need and will pay for.
