        BTW,

I don't have Go CWRS seed wheat... and do not grow CDC Go. Go is a public variety... with no levies and royalties... which is why I mentioned it.

        Cheers

Tom, You should know the answer to my question.

If you grow commercial CPSR, CWES, or utility wheat, what is it classed as and eligible to sell and price as in the USA?

            WM,

When I sold my families CWRS, CPS Red, and CWExtra Strong into the US... (All together in separate lots over a one month time period) it was all classed on US Customs documents as FEED... and paid to me at normal DNS prices. It was blended into US DNS and sent to US Mills.

              BTW WM,

THE Columbia Grain payment was determined by quality as stated by Montana state Labs in Billings... Falling Numbers and protein being the two principal qualities being tested. Payment to our farm after testing completed in Billings MT.

One Hopper of the one trailer load out of over 20,000bu delivered... was a blend of CWRS and CPS Red...

The US buyer didn't care they were blended... but CWB raised buyback to $42/t (instead of app. $12/t) because it was graded as Feed at the Canadian elevator instead of 1cwrs and 1cps red it actually was. The protein was close so Columbia Grain was fine with these two varieties being hauled blended together and was sampled together on unload by Columbia grain.

Then why is our CPSR, ES and utility sold at such a big discount to CWRS? Under this new and improved marketing freedom system.

                    WM,

Same quality... (px, falling no. gluten strength, kernel quality) should be close to the same price... and the CPS Red we just sold was very close to HRS when adjustments were considered.

Then why waste time and money and cause more confusion by making more classes? If it isn't just as this trend implies "I smell a rat"
Do away with CPSR, ES and this new utility.
Heck of a lot simpler and cost less. Or better yet just leave things alone.
