Fertilizer may jump in price but will probably have to come down due to the corn crop buring up in the US. They wont need as much fertilizer because it hasnt been used up and is still in the ground. With Half the usa cutting back on fertilizer purchases it may drive prices lower not higher. Just Western Canada is looking like it will have more cash and that is just a small area.

I do think that where the grain prices are now and where they may end in the next year, the incentive to grow grain is going to be big. Its natural that the fert makers are at some point going to push prices up. personally I think we have a few months of fairly flat pricing but I can see them just getting stupid by seeding time next spring.

Got a text from Cargill the other day, N(46)-$615, P-$710, S15-$715. Summer fill--must be delivered by end of August.

I understand the speculation of higher fertilizer prices but for me my crop is a long way from the bin. Thinking i would feel stupid with next crops fert on store should something happen. Therefore im out. Going to wait couple months and hope for the best.
