    relatively speaking canada and australia for that matter similar type economies in many ways are actually in good shape compared to the rest of the world and can and will hang tough

    worry is were the money will come from to buy our exportable goods

      I agree Malle, the thing our nations have going for them is for the most part we are exporting Natural Resources Food and Energy. Were not trying to sell trinkets and toys.

        Ag and mining and oil and gas and forestry and fishing account for about 8% of gdp.

        Everything else is an anchor around our necks.



        When the housing bubble burst the banks will not have to be re-capitalized because cmhc already quarantees they will receive
        there money from the canadian tax payer,funny huh?

        This has led to the banks not being afraid at all to lend money.
