      Mustard

The farmer owned inland terminals were built by
farmers wanting to extract as much value from
the grain they grow before it is shipped. They do
this by cleaning, selling screenings, shipping in
      100 car trains etc.

Under the CWB this is about as much value that
they can extract. I would ask why didn't those
farmers build durum mills or flour mills when they
      built their elevators?

        mustardman,

        Ever heard of:

        Lentil splitting plants?

Colour sorting facilities to prepare for table ready human consumption sales to grocery stores?

Parheim Foods Dry fractionation of pulses for industrial, specialty human food and fish food additives?

Wet fractionation components made for folks requiring gluten free flour like Kinikinick foods?

Ethanol plants like Permolex in Red Deer that we just relish the day when the CWB stops messing up their special fractionation capabilities.

Canola value added processing built to such a high standard and so competitive in western Canada... that it supports the whole world Canola pricing structure and futures. Why haven't Canola prices collaped? BECAUSE CDN Canola growers... and Aussies, EU, FSU, and Chinese Canola growers are unlimited sellers... which the food value chain system needs to invest the $$$billions needed to feed a hungry world.

Whatever Mustard... go around with your eyes wide shut!

Burbot - the biggest scam in history will go down as your beloved borg - mark my words. You hate multi nationals like other borg cheerleaders, b/c you think they rip you off, yet it's o.k. to let clowns at the cwb screw you over year after year and line their pockets from your hard work so you think there is equality for all - hard to understsnd.

              Burbert,

Whic group of growers voted and told you and your family... and forced you into one of these schemes?

              NO ONE.

I assume you went in eyes wide open?

"Forced to sell to One buyer... IS a really bad deal"

Used farm equipment... vehicles... grain... land... it does not matter Burbert...

ONE buyer who knows they can throw you in jail... if you do not sell to them... would be the choice of the buyer with the monopoly... not the seller of the product forced to be confiscated.

The 'risk reward' system that got us very fair prices for Canola in the past year Burbert... has worked very well!

Have fun... make a local co-op... work together!

              Cheers!
