    timm,

Take some 13px CANADIAN CWRS... 1,2 or 3 grade... guess what... it will be at least 13.5 if not 14 percent protein.

Time after time... load after load.

The moisture is usually one percent less in the US... and the protein is one percent more.

The Rest of the WORLD... does NOT use CGC measuring standards for either protein or moisture.

This was clearly identified in the Western Grain Marketing Panel Report in 1996. NOTHING has CHANGED.

I Challenge you to take a sample down to the US... and find out for yourself!

Flexpro was a two week program for sign up. American can sign a contract any day of the year.

That's a tremendous difference in programming.

Oh, and then there is none of that 25 percent now and 25 percent later delivery calls.

No delivery in february or march or april because the cwb has to move the manitoba flood watch crop.

Timm Another thing you forget is that US wheat varieties are way higher yeilding then our varieties and their grading is easier in most cases. Huge difference.
Besides the CWB brags about their premiums and the quality( hence the lower yeilding varieties) and even by your numbers ( especially when you adjust back the proteins) they are getting no better then even.( actually less because they can haul 100% if they want and don't have to wait 18 months for payment. Don't have to haul when its -30, no storage risks like heating or bugs, don't have to put up $2-$3 bins storage for 100% of the crop etc etc etc)
When you take felxpro out which is in no way a equal comparison then the CWB prices are always lower.

Not sure but would this be a good time to bring up the CGC proposed rate changes?

timme is very proud of himself for using flexpro. And he has two threads beating chest about it.

He would make a fine cwb employee as he can easily brag about the cwb.

Notice he doesn't want to talk about last years returns? Just this one or two day phenomena where his flexpro is a great price.

Wonder how he would of felt when his crop went for shit after signing the contract?

Maybe CGC should be checking the protein
testers or is that the CWBs fault too!

I am happy that you grabbed 1000 MT in the lottery.

I hope for your sake it is 15.0 or higher and you can watch the protein scales really work in your favour.

What is your protein this year?

What about the other 12 million tonnes of wheat not able to access the lottery?

Another point on US vs Can grain is the measurement. A US bushel is slightly smaller. It is measured in what is called lbs Winchester. The same truck weighed in Canada and then weighed in Bottineau will have more bushels in Bottineau.
