    Hypothetical covid19 question

    Got asked yesterday pondering it all day

    Rural radio

    What would AG look like if no covid19.

    Grain maybe similar.

    Livestock Sector taken a big dip

    Aquaculture huge step back

    I’ve become a herd immunity fan again as long as over 65s can be protected

    It would look exactly the same.

        Worse grain movement without Covid, way less imports and rail commodities moving with covid, so grain gets moved. Bonus.

          It seems to me we were having problems with violent criminals blocking our rail lines until COVID became a thing, and they suddenly disappeared. By that measure, perhaps we are better off as farmers?

              Mallee,
              We have been through a few cycles of Covid-19 plant worker shut downs... but looks like they have figured out how to operate ;

              Therefore we have reasonable meat supply but prices have doubled in some cases, yet volume down because many restaurants not operating at pre-covid19 business... people are consuming less meat perhaps?
