    Scheer resigns

His resolution to fight on didn't last too long. Too many knives getting thrown his way.

Next few months should be interesting.

They will be looking for "eastern bastard" so that they can win in the east the next time. Peter Mckay maybe.

Global breaking that his resignation was DEMANDED!

Alleging CPC funds being used to pay for his children's schooling. JFC, why the hell is it so damned hard to resist the urge to use public service for personal gain?

Highly recommended that any leader be elected by a final vote of the assembly next time around.

Right on. Now the cons can choose a Muslim, Hindu, or Sikh leader with the exact same stance on abortion and gay marriage as Scheer has. And win in a landslide.

Who knew having a stance on something would be so damning?

In all seriousness, Scheer was little more than a temporary caretaker.

Nobody with any gravitas threw their hat in the ring last time around, because NONE of them thought there was hope in hell of unseating Trudeau after one majority term.

                    They smell blood though now...

Stakes are high. As far as I'm concerned, they're higher for the conservative party than they even are for the liberals.

If the next leader doesn't find a path to victory against a weakened Trudeau, I think this party will rip itself apart at the seams.

Scheer was a victim of the MSM right off the bat. He didn't have a sharp answer to their questions and wouldn't lie like Trudeau so they ate him up.

They were pushing the LGBT climate abortion narrative months before the election and he should have had a stronger comms strategy to deal with it. Just refer back to the law and let it be. For climate take some fed funds and say you will build a dozen money loser wind farms. Public wont know any better. Tell them they have to be built in the west. They are as dumb as a stick.

                        Country too.

Trudeau talked a lot of sht after the election but he is just acting. He is looking for a way to wedge those 13 seats back to LPC and call a snap election. Has to be stopped. Scheer will get a nice cabinet post in the next election.

The ball is now completely in Kenney and Moe's court. If they don't draw a line in the sand we're doomed.

At least we won't have a Robert Stanfield staying in and assuring a Trudeau dynasty.
