With everything shitty happening in ag it is interesting to see the ceo of Canterra currently arguing with farmers on twitter about how the seed tax is necessary.....yes maybe for their shsreholders but I am not buying their shit.

Seen a news spot on tv where his vision was to increase oil and potash production, immigration. But there was a bit of a comment made on market access and exports of ag products. I waited with baited breath but it was at the end where the mention was made. Seems everything else comes first, because as bucket says, we fire up every spring...... regardless.

yea they have brought us wheat that sprouts easier , doesn't yield one ****ing bit better than 30 years ago
in fact other than midge tolerant , they haven't brought us SFA
sold some alfalfa yesterday , the association doubled the check off to $.63/bu because prices are down ?
thats why we binned it for a year , everyone gets what they need except the guy doing the work, i guess

Trouble is the media cuts so much out. There are 20 second slots. A lot gets missed. You gotta dig to find entire speeches etc. Moe DID talk about carbon tax and farmers for example.

In the current market, what traits would be worth paying for?

Higher yield? Surely that's the solution to percieved gluts of wheat stocks...

Higher quality milling traits? That seems to be little more than a specialty market anymore, so sure, let's flood that market as well.

What higher value export market is just sitting there waiting to be tapped?

What "value" could higher investment in cereal seed r&d possibly return to us right now?

And as I seeing comments farmers have given their lifetime vote to conservatives. Why would they need to do anything for them.Nothing to gain.

Are you referring to Bucket? He stated you could run a cardboard cutout, or a monkey in a blue as a Conservative in his Grassland riding and they would still win.

I'm sure Case you were taking shots at the left side, your pretty loyal to all Righties on Agriville.

Not knocking you Bucket, your a straight shooter and your posts are always honest. Red or Blue doesn't matter, you just want one of the political parties to man up and stand up for farmers. You "Fight the Good Fight"

Ok it must be national I love the left day and I missed the memo.

Simply every gov in canada has massive debt. All or most created by the NDP and liberals. Every province. Sooner or later they run out of other people’s money.

The rich will pay is a fu king joke.

                        They will leave.

Now on crop report it’s thick fog that can’t see the driveway so again nothing even close to harvest weather.

That sucks and yes should be making headlines but isn’t.

Ton of ****ed or damp grain harvested and those guys are done but bigger problem than maybe stuff in the field.

So yea ag is in a shit show and needs to be addressed.

If you want a say you have to either have the votes or the money. We don't have the votes but we sure could find the money to buy influence. Get your checkoffs back, use it and your agrinvest and start purchasing shares of these companies and others.

Why can some group like FNA go around and get people to sign on to a buy out stake in Mosaic or some other group. That's what the pension funds do.

Farmers are sometimes too stuck on more land and shiny leases than chances at true diversification.

Just listened on the noon ag report the new head of the Canadian wheat growers. Man this guy has no ducking clue.

He just shipped 22000 bus of number one 14.6 so no real problem with Canadian grain and we will fill our customers.

Again when you have idiots only representing their little piece of canada and the me myself and I representation .

I’m ok so all you other guys screwed up attitude.

This is our problem this idiot talks to the gov and all is ok.

Wow again I know why I canceled this membership.

our area had a good conservative map.He was in there for awhile but was and was always going to be just a back bencher. Our area will always elect a conservative mp so no need to give it any extra representation like a cabinet post .You think the federal conservative party is going to give the west anything extra you are dreaming.

                                exactly what i want
certainly wasn't talking about bucket , wished he would run for premier . but i know you are just trying to be ignorant
other than a few new highways and maybe a better provincial attitude , i can't think of a thing brad wall left us . like i said many times , grant devine was the last premier we had that gave a **** about Sask
guess you only read some of my posts ??
i have said often that you could run a fencepost here and it would win , but we have no options . i lived the dark years here and in fact went west until grant devine told us we could come home. yes, that really happened
thats funny , "i'm pretty loyal to righties" now isn't that the pot calling the kettle black
