GST and grain buyers

ColevilleH2S's Avatar Oct 14, 2017 | 19:50 1 This is a first for me. I have a grain buyer who won't cut a cheque for feed wheat to a crop share landlord of mine because the landlord doesn't have a GST number. Why do they need his GST number? Reply With Quote

Canary seed would have a GST payment but pretty sure feed wheat doesn't. Reply With Quote

Oct 15, 2017 | 06:02 4 I just sold grain under a new name and wasn't asked about GST #. Where did they get that instructions. I would make CGC aware they are refusing to pay. Reply With Quote

The landlord doesn't need a number if his GST-able income is less than $30,000. Reply With Quote
