What a clown show and giant waste of money by the separatists - $130 million and counting!
They invited a MMA fighter to speak to a rally in Edmonton on Saturday. A real dinosaur! Who wants women out of the work force!
And the separatist thought this MMA was going to help their cause? WTF are they thinking?
Here is what the MMA fool said he said previously “He once said that if he had a gay son “I would think I failed as a man to create such weakness.”I would think I failed as a man to create such weakness.” He once offered the view that society needed to “go back to taking women out of the work force.” There are even worse things attributed to him that I won’t repeat here.?
From Gary Mason at the Globe and Mail
"Notably On Saturday, two days before Monday’s Alberta referendum on separation, independence supporters gathered on the steps of the provincial legislature in Edmonton.
There were speeches, the usual boilerplate stuff from the stage: Albertans are an oppressed people who will only find their deserved riches once they are free of the shackles of federalism. One of the central figures behind the separatist movement, lawyer Keith Wilson, took the microphone to implore those gathered to stay firm in the face of resistance.
“When I look out at the crowd gathered today I see fighters,” Mr. Wilson said. “I see fighters who are going to fight for the future of our children.”
Before finishing his speech, Mr. Wilson had a surprise: He invited American MMA fighter Sean Strickland, who was in Edmonton for a UFC event, to speak. “Give ‘em some motivating words,” Mr. Wilson instructed his guest, who received a thunderous ovation.
To the uninitiated, Mr. Strickland is a controversial figure, mostly for the abhorrent vulgarities that have come from his mouth. He once said that if he had a gay son “I would think I failed as a man to create such weakness.” He once offered the view that society needed to “go back to taking women out of the work force.” There are even worse things attributed to him that I won’t repeat here.
Nevertheless, one of the key leaders of the pro-separatist forces in Alberta thought it was a good idea to bring him to the stage to rally the troops.

Mr. Strickland told the crowd how the so-called “freedom convoy” was an “inspiration to every American.” Alberta doesn’t get a “voice” in Canada, he said; it got “stepped on” instead. He said the province now had the chance to “get your freedom back.”
“Godspeed,” he screamed into the microphone. “Freedom to Alberta!”
Well, we now know that Mr. Strickland’s remarks didn’t have much impact on the referendum. As was long forecast, the separation question was thoroughly defeated (https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-alberta-voters-reject-push-for-separation-referendum-early-results/) – roughly 76 per cent against to 24 per cent in favour of pressing forward with independence."
