    New pipeline announcement

So... will this be 2 straight pipelines approved and built under liberal leadership?

Yikes. Almost like carney had a bit of a plan?

Now get one going east to quebec and this carney guy might get some western votes.....

He will be long gone back to Europe before there is any pipe in the ground?

How much do you think taxpayers will be in for with a $43 Billion budget for the pipe and a $30 Billion budget for pathways.
Will they be able to get it done on the usual 50% over budget government boondoggle premium?

They have Indigenous Band participation but the bigger problem has been a few paid protesters organized and paid for by Tides Foundation. Just local activists that the media likes to call hereditary chiefs.
Plus the Fraser Valley just a few minutes away for any activists in the area?
Everything ends up on cost plus.
No private pipeline co wants anything to do with it?
    Long ways from pumping oil.
    Carney won't be here.

Does any of this change with a conservative govt?
      no.
      No it does not.

regardless of who builds it itll be a good thing...

And the Building Canada Act was good legislation.

        Mostly agree.
But we have to truly get back to where things can get approved and built here in some reasonable timelines.
Carney is tinkering around the edges on that. He absolutely recognizes the problem.
But you can't change a bad reputation for being hostile to business with a few speeches.
That Canada's reputation and also Carney's reputation.
His recent career has been political /climate activist. He hasn't been a banker for a long time, including some of his time at BOE.
He does things to improve that some days, and then blows it up the next day.

He does work hard and has no time for politics in general.

A good article on his work ethic and what he expects.
I think we all would welcome a more accountable and efficient bureaucracy with some expectations on performance?
Seems to come up without paywall some places

Can you explain why we had to suffer through 10 years of Trudeau blocking any and all investment in order for the same person who was a devising Trudeau to reverse course?
