We have lots of wealth generation in Canada but the wealth is not shared very well.

The oil and gas sector has relatively low effective tax rates and royalties compared to other sectors. In good times their profits are like a windfall.

We are one of the top performing countries in the G7 and we have a relatively high standard of living.

You must not realize how well we are off.

As farmers many of us have millions in asetts. Its a challenge to farm to be sure. But most of will retire with more than decent savings.

So why all the complaining about bad it is?

Why does wealth need to be shared ??
I get it to a point , but why should someone who works intensively and has built wealth over decades share with someone who is a lazy and only feels the need to work 4 days a week and demands health care , dental, and all the government benefits while the other gets zero , creates wealth, and works nearly every day of the year ???

Your obviously not a grain farmer with a stupid statement like that, grain does not magically get hauled to elevators, all machinery fixes its self over winter, no one plows our snow, Yes instead of working 18 hour days for months it may only be 6 to 8 hour days like most for a few months

Most grain farmers without an off farm job have a lot of time off in the winter even with all the work that goes on.

So don't bullshit us about the reality on many straight grain farms.

Farmers get way more free time in the off season than most working people plus have way more assets and wealth.
