Where does "government" get the money? They spent it all.
Haven't had any since Harper left a surplus in 2015.
Just keep printing like there is no tomorrow?
Can't raise taxes as people and industry are already leaving?

    Carney has the best resume?

Exactly, without wealth generating industries, this country is screwed . And many who just got here demand the same standard of living as those who have been here for 100 years . It’s insane they don’t understand that there is nothing left to get from the middle class , it’s been decimated

We have lots of wealth generation in Canada but the wealth is not shared very well.

The oil and gas sector has relatively low effective tax rates and royalties compared to other sectors. In good times their profits are like a windfall.

We are one of the top performing countries in the G7 and we have a relatively high standard of living.

You must not realize how well we are off.

As farmers many of us have millions in asetts. Its a challenge to farm to be sure. But most of will retire with more than decent savings.

So why all the complaining about bad it is?

10 years of Justin Trudeau did nothing for industry and locked in policies that made getting large projects built almost impossible in Canada. Plus he created new social programs that increase the cost of government. Carney came in, he didn’t remove any regulations, created The Major Projects Office which in theory allows the government to choose a project that can ignore many of Trudeau’s regulations but because private industry still doesn’t trust government Carney is writing cheques like there is no tomorrow.

Why are we complaining? Because we can see the continued problems with the government’s approach.

So what would you suggest to fix all the problems?

Because Carney stole a lot of PP's conservative agenda and we are facing a beligerant anti trade tRump after years of free trade relationship.

The CUSMA deal is here for another 10 years.

Complaining is easy. Running the country and keeping everybody happy is not.

And right wingers are almost never happy. Oil production increased under Trudeau! But that's not good enough?

Do you want us to choose the AFD and kick out all the brown immigrants? Who would do all the dirty low paying jobs then?

Since you sound like you are suffering and need more cash you can be an Uber driver too! Or work at Tim Hortons!

Actually Chuck2 I have never complained about my finances. I am more concerned about my kids and grandkids and the country they will inherit.

As for what would I do? Instead of hand picking which project can go ahead I would create a less regulated environment that applied to all participants. I would eliminate carbon taxes and instead implement a tax credit system that rewarded investment in new machinery and manufacturing capacity. I would also incentivize research investment.

Also Canada needs to implement a system that incentivizes having a family. We need more future workers. There will not be enough workers to support those who have retired. High immigration levels have been a proven failure. We need to grow from within.

                That's reasonable Hamloc.

So lets start with eliminating Alberta's and Saskatchewan's discrimination and regulations against low cost renewables in favour of fossil fuels! Do you agree?

And how would you provide incentives for children and families? Low cost daycare is a good incentive but many conservatives don't support subsidized daycare.
