    Local airports

Local airports are being regulated out of price range for smaller centres. Costs of required equipment makes them too big of a cash burden for smaller centres.Biggar is one of them and the local town council in their total lack of knowledge on the value of said properties, offered and sold, without tendering, the airport for a low price to Clayton air. He ,of course, does not now allow anyone else to use it. Other services said true value was 500 to one million and word is they got 160,000. U should advise your local councils there is significant value there and once competition is gone, we’ll u know how that turns out. Clayton’s competition wasn’t willing to give up so he built a new runway at an abandoned salt mine at, once again word on the street, well north of 500,000. Side note, we were out by Saskfarmers country side yesterday and had 3 planes spraying beside the highway in a 12 mile stretch, they are getting a lot more used in all areas. Big drones are sure going to cut into their business tho.

Seen an air spray service use a paved county road as a landing strip in the MD of Wainwright. Can thank the feds for this of course. Separation is the solution to over regulation.
