    Climate Comments out of control

Currently in australia we are approaching this mega elnino biggest since 1880s what ever.

2/3rds of australia wet super wet some in record territory and year aint finished yet.

Now the climate change gurus and saying climate change is actually affecting climate change, changing the so called dry to wet. Bit like Abbot and Costello who's on first etc etc.

Finally some are starting see possibility that rising CO2 is beneficial in some areas of the planet maybe not all before ya go off on a tangent.

And also now working out that volcanic eruptions change weather for 2 yrs even more depending on severity.

Science and understanding changes all the time.

SSW is what has to be studied in Australia but random whereas norther hemisphere you have them yearly almost for short or long periods quite measurable.

Rational thinking on both sides of argument is starting to happen might even meet in the middle.

But the climate change affecting climate change was a doozy. Theres only one chap on here that could come up with such logic but hes on my ignore thank heavens, you guys way more tolerant than I to idiocy.

Have a top weekend another round of rain next week.

History shows that worst elninos are the mild/moderate ones tis weird can get data for you if you want for Australia. Straight from govt agencies so slightly fudged to make it look worse but thats the way it is you factor that in for you location and your data if ya have it.

I'm glad you still have a sense of humor about this.
Climate change has become a part of every day language like automobile. On purpose. And really, just as meaningless.
By who and why. Marketing for some reason.
Here, if you look, you can find trees large enough to have lived 40+ years dead for 40+ in standing water. Cycles.
When I worked a coring rig I saw the coming, going and return of cycles in the cores. A million years is far too many for a brain that lives for less than a hundred to even comprehend.
Keep it up Land, and educate the young.
Funny, a wet year here and not a peep. 0 wildfires. Nothing to blame. Dry again? Climate change!

Makes one wonder how the 1877 one was this strong as well .
be interesting to see what the solar activity was in that time period and what cyclical pattern is involved

One friend is in 14 inch rain fall area currently 23 inches for year. Dams full country regenerated Therese for years and its still august.
Climate change guys saying season is gonna stop just turn of the tap no more this guy says well so what if it does hes a weather nerd like me.
Another line same as above the wetter its gets now dry the summer will be errr Australia isn't known for its summer rain except on east coast.
Gonna be a horror fire year due to climate change again errr yes its gonna be a horror year due t fuel load biggest in history in some areas.

Edit someone mentioned humour ive got a few climate change friends good guys dont really get into arguments but humour is lacking in them almost devoid poor devils goes with territory just gloomy about everything. We tolerate each other always bating about it but I rarely bite funny they do love reading the weather reports im in today expand there climatic knowledge.

        • Very strong El Nino is real but that does not mean drought in SA, and especially so this year  • Localised dry spells through spring will still occur, mitigated by warmer Indian and lack of a sustained Positive IOD  • Major volatility through spring with thunderstorm activity above average  • Still above average frost risk in any high pressure, especially if we get colder air  • Dominant westerly flow and cooler mid-levels tightening jetstream, increasing damaging wind potential in stronger e

Another useless figure 3 weekends back some high rainfall areas had a huge 2 day event 120mm reservoirs which supply capital city Adelaide one in particular was at 67% capacity was 100% by day 4 with run off its biggest ever increase in history meaning time frame.

Now every event water will get released which is also a good thing talk was Adelaide might face water restrictions weather at times nobody knows to far ahead.

We are meant to get a 15mm top up this week.
