Not quite fever pitch not yet

Australia people getting a little miffed of late with current left wing soclalist govt

Last 6 months huge swings to right but not traditional right its the far right.

Just last week a furore nutshell trans men or women what ever have more rights than women.

My home state the most renewable state in australia some say in the world well we have about 3rd most expensive electricity in world after Denmark and another EU state just escapes me.

Also my state about 1.8 or 1.9 million people why should we pay for the nose when cities in china like Shanghai have 20 million residents do nothing India the same.

The govt plans to allow 1 million immigrants each errr we are full is the cry.

Palestine argument goes on and on govt supports them Joe Bloggs don the street dont give a rats arse more worried about australia.

Kiddie fiddlers getting let out of jail

Not only rich and middle class getting crushed now even lower by taxes red tape etc

So called redneck state Queensland still have coal electricity full on gas exploration mines everywhere and West australia similar have highest standard of living why not us is another call my state has huge huge uranium deposits.

Farm kids working in mines for 5 years before going home if at all. $70 per hour who can blame them or more $$ in some cases.

I dont pass much judgement or get into arguments but its good to watch changes in sentiment as years go by.

Indigenous affairs well there even moving to the right cause immigrants from overseas have more rights and free stuff than them.

Beef and lamb record prices but not if people cant afford it tipping point at sometime but we export heaps to Asia and usa. Other crazy stuff if a lamb or sheep breaks its neck or something in yard we are NOT meant to butcher it for consumption tis illegal you guys got on farm slaughter outlawed there?

My wife's side were immigrants fled Europe in late 40s displaced Ukrainians and Austrians but different times different scenario. In immigration camps for about 3 years and had to work railways land clearing nursing all sorts of work no freebees so I can see both sides. And they had a choice Nebraska Argentina or australia. We've got Indians in our local community all gainfully employed and real characters I dont see em much but son says they party hard.

Sure interesting times. But it's a political pendulum to and fro. We've actually had 2 cracking left wing prime minister/govts in 80s for a period and 90s sort of conservatives with left leaning ideologies. Got the balance right until they retired what ever replaced with super socialists . And a very right wing govt here changed our gun laws in 80s that was political manoeuvring at best again kept everyone happy some how.

My state probably never have conservative ever agin 1.8 million well 1.4 live in city or regional cities just the way the population is.

Cheers all. Just rambling thoughts right or wrong who knows. Lots of crazy other stuff I could bore you with

Too bad Downunder wouldn't comment on the strong renewable electricity sector in Australia that is reducing the price of electricity.

Sounds like yours came home with the same WEF playbook our Trudeau and many others in the world were using?
We are the redneck state along with Alberta.
They backed immigration down a little, but most of the rest they just stopped scolding us about but continue to roll it out.
Australia has faired better economically than we have.
We are the only country in the G7 in recession.
