    Global Famine Fears Loom

According to Fox News today the world is teetering on the edge of famine due to the closure of Strait of Hormuz. What does that mean for us as a high-ranking world food producer?

I believe that it’s a two-edged sword - on one hand we have an over-supply of food raw materials and on the other side, we may not be able to get those foodstuffs to our buyers. Do you have any thoughts on this subject?

The poorest always suffer the most in a crisis.

tRump and MAGA care little about food aid or the impact trump is having on the worlds poor. The war just makes it far worse.

The world has enough wealth, resources and food to feed everyone but their is not enough political will.

We have our own food short citizens in Canada and there is not even enough political will to end homelessness or hunger in our own country.

If it were as simple as writing a check, no one in Africa would be hungry.
No one in NA is eating mud cookies.

Food aid isn't only about writing a check its about getting food to those that need it. That is is what food aid agencies do.

They still do provide food aid! The US has pulled away support for wrong headed political reasons. But there are many other funders and donors.

Do you want me to give you a list of agencies that are still providing food aid?

Who gets it in places like the west bank, Yemen, or Samolia?

When a socialist says political will, I read write checks.
A lot of food is wasted as well. Complicated.
An amount of aid is controlled by the gangsters once there.

Does anyone remember what happened last time famine was on the front pages? The economist had a front cover with skulls on it which marked the exact top of the wheat market
