A lot of NDP voters support Mark Carney and that won't change with Avi Lewis. In fact Lewis may drive more of them to Carney guaranteeing even a bigger a majority!
With tRump going even more crazy and the CPC still sheltering tRump supporters, Carney has an easy path to a majority which might start on April 13th.
I like Danny Williams the former Progressive Conservative premier of Newfoundland who ran an ABC campaign against Harper. Anybody But Conservatives. Since much of the base supports tRump there are a lot ABC voters!

Steven Harper was ahead of his time when he said we will stop burning fossil fuels in 2100. Avi Lewis is just in a bigger hurry to get the transition done. But Harper said the same thing in 2015! Now the CPC under PP is following tRumps drill baby drill mantra.
Harper was ahead of his time on climate change. Hard to believe what the current CPC dinosaurs are saying now! They can hardly even say the word climate change! LOL
In June 2015, then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper agreed to a G7 coalition pledge to develop a low-carbon global economy, which included a long-term goal of phasing out fossil fuel use by the end of the 21st century.
Key details of this 2015 commitment:- G7 Commitment: The leaders committed to "decarbonization of the global economy over the course of this century" and to "deep cuts in global greenhouse gas emissions," aiming for a transformation of energy sectors by 2050.
- Context: This was a significant shift for the Harper government, which had previously been considered a climate laggard, having pulled Canada out of the Kyoto Protocol in 2011.
- Timeline: The agreement aimed for zero carbon emissions by 2100.

Your right about Harper Chuck.
He was the best PM we had in a long while.
He could see that Climate change was more or less a fad and would pass like all fads do.
So he just put it on the never never plan.
It's already pretty much rejected and forgotten about in most or the world.
Just Carney and a few of his European buddies are still using it to tax the rubes harder.

Shit for brains?
"Climate change was more or less a fad?" Good one shit f b LOL
Then why did Harper sign a G7 agreement committing Canada to stopping burning fossil fuels by the year 2100. If he thought it was fad he didn't need to do anything!
Climate change is forgotten about in most of the world? Huh? Another stupid whopper!
You climate denying anti science types want to forget about it!
But you don't represent the world do you?
You certainly picked the right Agrisilly name for yourself!

Most of the world is adopting China's lead on Climate policy.
They just smile and nod and go on doing whatever they think is best for them.
Except Canada and a few of Carney's buddies.
It's baggage for Carney.
Investors don't trust him and that is holding Canada back.

The NDP are making the same mistake as the CPC - moving away from the centre. They are each narrowing their voter base and letting Carney have a wider swath of the electorate. In both cases they have no one to blame but themselves. They have to move to the voters instead of self righteously demanding the voters come to them.
