Some of you have very short and selective biased memories! LOL

Alberta has faced gas plant issues, notably four natural gas generators failing during a cold snap in early 2024.

During an extreme cold snap in January 2024, Alberta experienced grid emergencies due to a combination of record-high power demand and unplanned outages at several natural gas generating plants. At least four gas-fired generators went offline over the critical weekend.?

And another laugh about downunder where the light doesn't shine claim that Australians aren't concerned about climate change!

He doesn't even engage with his fellow Australians on one of the hottest and driest continents on earth.

Hotter and drier will be good for Australia?

But he just had a long post about the near record heat wave getting his "ole bum crack sweating"!

Is it time to do a reality check? Maybe Downunder doesn't really know whats going in Australia if he spends a lot of time on Agrisilly. He seems confused about his own opinions versus his fellow Australians.

"Australians have significant and growing concern about climate change, viewing it as an existential threat, with high anxiety about extreme weather (fires, droughts), social collapse, food shortages, and increasing cost-of-living impacts. Recent surveys show over 70% of Australians are concerned, and belief in human-caused climate change is high (around 91%), though urban-rural divides exist. These concerns are driven by Australia's vulnerability to severe impacts like hotter, drier conditions, increased bushfire risk, and more intense droughts, leading to calls for stronger government action."

Australians worried about climate collapse: new report

      6 JANUARY 2026
A new report shows which groups of Australians have higher levels of climate anxiety.
      • A Charles Sturt University survey report shows for many Australians, climate anxiety has grown from an environmental threat to an existential risk to society
      • Anxiety is higher among women and among those who have had more exposure to extreme weather events
      • In an unlikely alliance, Greens and One Nation voters are much more worried about social collapse than other voters
A nationwide survey commissioned by a leading Charles Sturt University researcher has found high levels of concern among Australians that global warming will bring large numbers of climate refugees, food shortages and even social collapse by 2050.
Nearly a third of Australians say they are ‘very or extremely concerned’ about social and economic collapse in the next 25 years, with three in five Australians at least moderately concerned.

If anyone reads it you may not have heard of El Nino Modoki for australia still means dry but areas that are dry change and also can mean drier autumn and below average spring whereas normal elnino means normal autumn dry spring same rainfall total at years end hypothetically but timing of dry periods way way different not even sure elninos affect Canadian weather.

Edit guess biggest driver of Canadian weather is the jet stream jet stream position and strength fill me in if im 100% wrong.

One of my biggest grips about climate debate the climate change believers and deniers NIETHER of them have basic understanding of weather

The jet stream is a big factor here. Do you have something similar in Australia?
