i am not very concerned about how these new data centre's will be powered , issue is why they are being built

Finland is using data centres to heat buildings with existing district heating systems.
"Major projects in Helsinki and Espoo connect data centers (like Microsoft's) to city heating, aiming to cover a large portion of district heat demand."

Flipper what is the connection?
You have heard of using waste heat to run generators? Its called co-generation.
In this case Finland is using it for district heat systems.
But you stick to using the outdoor toilet and party line!
And don't forget to stay away from the doctor and hospital because you know more than them!
