Renewables 2025

International Energy Agency

https://www.iea.org/reports/renewables-2025/executive-summary

Global renewable power capacity is expected to double between now and 2030, increasing by 4 600 gigawatts (GW). This is roughly the equivalent of adding China, the European Union and Japan’s power generation capacity combined to the global energy mix. Solar PV accounts for almost 80% of the global increase, followed by wind, hydropower, bioenergy and geothermal. In more than 80% of countries worldwide, renewable power capacity is set to grow faster between 2025 and 2030 than it did over the previous five-year period. However, challenges including grid integration, supply chain vulnerabilities and financing are also increasing.

If it can be done in this part of the world with a 100 percent guarantee that would be fine but when it’s -25 and the wind is howling and you have loss of power that’s deadly dangerous!

That's what backup gas plants are for.

Just use the GAS, save the complication, expensive double electrical generation! Life is short enough.

Why did you stop using the outhouse and Eatons catalogue Flipper when a hole in the ground doesn't need water or plumbing? Save the complications Flip!

Alberta’s grid has total production capability of 23242 mwh of which renewables total 8623 mwh or 37%.
This morning at 7:40 out of 5684 mwh of wind capacity there was 442 mwh being produced. Now it was dark when I looked so the 1850 mwh of solar wasn’t producing anything. From the 899 mwh of hydro there was 121 mwh of production and out of the 190 mwh of storage nothing was being used.
Albertan’s were using 12122 mwh. 4.64% of that was coming from renewables.

Renewables become throw - away ables, wrecked windmills and broken solar panels. They’ll be obsolete and dispensable, that’s undeniable. Will we be using pieces as clothes lines. There green dreamers are spinning their wheels ( and our money) and failing to replace the best god-given form of energy - fossil fuels.

Coal and gas power plants all have to be upgraded and replaced.

Texas and North Dakota seem to think they are good investments on a large scale.

So you should try come up with better arguments!

You are really reaching, the outhouse costs ZERO, your phucking solar/bird grinders are crazy expensive....PLUS PLUS we need gas/coal/nuke to backstop the intermittent unreliable green SHYT!
