When reading the story about the mass shooting, it listed the mass shootings that have occured in Australia in recent years:
"In 2022, two police officers were shot and killed by Christian extremists at a rural property in Queensland state. The three shooters in that incident, conspiracy theorists who hated the police, were also shot and killed by officers after a six-hour siege in the region of Wieambilla, along with one of their neighbours."
There are F ck ups and hatred on all sides of religion.
Just pointing this out is all, and in no way making excuses for any of the sides.Last edited by foragefarmer; Dec 14, 2025, 07:29.

Not really comparable. Two wack jobs essentially ambushing and killing 2 police officers doesn’t compare to two gunmen opening up on a beach full of people celebrating Jewish Hanukkah.Originally posted by foragefarmer View PostWhen reading the story about the mass shooting, it listed the mass shootings that have occured in Australia in recent years:

There has also been numerous deadly attacks against muslims in Canada by various christian and other extremists. Some prior to the terrorist attacks on israel by Hamas.
And in Israel palestinians are facing israeli settler violence and theft in the west bank not to mention the state sponsored war crimes by Netanyahu and the Israeli military on an unbelievable inhumane scale in Gaza.
Peace and a 2 state solution is the way forward to end this cycle of violence, but Israel is actively committing genocide and war crimes to make sure that a palestinian state never becomes a reality.
And Netanyahu is keeping the conflict going to save his political ass!
Lets hope that the scumbag shows up in the Hague on trial along with whats left of the Hamas leadership.
This conflict is the root cause of terror and hate spreading around the world.

There have always been sick people around.
Saskatchewan had some wicked ones that were living on farms in yrs past.
There are always cop haters out there.
But now we seem to be doing our best to bring in some of the most likely to have been raised to he haters?
Hate like the cop haters but they were raised to hate everyone that isn't in their small group.
This can't end well.
All of us are going to be effected as Canadian's because our well deserved image as friendly and harmless as travelers of the world is damaged.
Our passports are being given to terrorists. That will mean all of us well not have the privilege that we expect from it.
This isn't happening because we need immigration to make Canada better as was the original goal for all the past.
This is out of control immigration to bring voters for one party that wants to stay in power forever.
California did the same thing and proved it works to prop up one party.Last edited by shtferbrains; Dec 14, 2025, 08:51.

There are numerous home grown extremists and haters in Canada and the US!
The US government has raised alarm bells about the growing far right white supremacist violence as being the biggest risk.
And Trump's policy are more and more race based hatred against immigrants of color.
Stoking more far right extremists.
"The threat of far-right violence in the United States is currently classified by federal law enforcement as the most significant and lethal domestic terrorism concern
. While historically decentralized, far-right extremist movements have grown in frequency, lethality, and organizational sophistication over the last decade, often fueled by online radicalization and a shift toward partisan political violence.
Key Trends and Data- Dominance in Incidents and Fatalities: Since 1994, right-wing extremists have perpetrated the majority of all domestic terrorist attacks and plots. Between 2001 and 2025, they were responsible for approximately 75% to 80% of domestic terrorism fatalities.
- Recent Escalation: Right-wing terror incidents reached a historical high between 2020 and 2022, with 40 recorded incidents during that period. This surpassed the previous peak in the mid-1990s around the time of the Oklahoma City bombing.
- Ideological Shifts: While earlier surges (1990s and 2008) were driven by anti-government militia movements, a new wave since 2015 has been dominated by white supremacy and accelerationism (the belief in using violence to incite a civil war).
- Shift Toward Partisan Targets: In recent years (2016–2024), there has been a dramatic rise in attacks against government personnel and elected officials motivated by specific partisan beliefs rather than general anti-government sentiment.
Primary Threats and Movements- White Supremacists: Responsible for 45% of right-wing terrorist incidents from 2017 to 2022. Notable recent attacks include the 2019 El Paso Walmart massacre and the 2022 Buffalo grocery store shooting.
- Anti-Government Militias: Groups like the Oath Keepers and Three Percenters utilize military-style training and recruitment from law enforcement and veteran circles. Notable plots include the 2020 attempt to kidnap the Michigan governor.
- Digital & Conspiracy Movements: The QAnon conspiracy and incel (involuntary celibate) subcultures have increasingly produced violent plots and lone-wolf attacks."

Hamloc we have the same problem here in Canada and the US.
Extremists who are willing to commit violence.
But the far right extremists are the biggest threat by far!

Let's say your 100% correct about homegrown extremists.
But their are lots of countries with much bigger problems with extremists than we have had.
Should we be bringing them in unvetted ?
They admitted in parliament last week our vetting process requires you to fill out a form on line Canada will accept you?
There are lots of people that want to immigrate to Canada.
Not all of them are good.
Let's be more careful before it's to late.
If we think we can bring people from places that are recognized as supporting terrorists, they should be doing the due diligence on them before they get on the airplane to come.
Not when they are standing in line at airport in Canada the same as we do when we arrive home.Last edited by shtferbrains; Dec 14, 2025, 09:21.
