    only in australia govt stupidity

A freind who has cattle stations across NT and QLD gets phone call from national parks and wildlife.
We got a Mickey bull running wild and free in national park potentially causing grief to native animals etc. Fair enough hes says we will handle he says well find it dispose of it then and there quarter it and take back to homestead and put in cool room make into sausages burgers.
No sir not allowed we "the govt organisation" will do it in a humane way. Capture it euthanise it then bury it and cant risk food poisoning. So capture it, portable yards vet to euthaise it excavator to dig hole and govt expert to do risk assessments whole episode gonna cost in excess of $16000 when it could be hanging in cool room for cost of time a bullet and bit of electricity and feeding 15 blokes.
    Gotta love modern world

Bureaucracy in action. Hilarious. Shoot, shovel, shut up, as old as governments I reckon.
Here, govt trying to shut in all inspected farm slaughter sales.
    Suspect grocery chain involvement.
