    Mark Carney announces major infrastructure project, KSI Lisims LNG, a project he is directly invested in, and announces tax incentives for this project that are in the new budget. So basically using taxpayer money to help fund his own investments. Conflict of interest? Should the Liberals change their name to the Brookfield Party of Canada?

        Brookfield is invested in nearly every single thing that Carney announces or is pushing for. Carbon Credits, Green Energy, the Pathways Alliance, Heat Pumps, Electric controls for Heat pumps, pipelines in the USA, you name it.

          Carney put his investments in a blind trust and gave up millions in income to become PM.

          And you always talk about how we need businessmen to run the country. Now you have a very qualified successful businessman and central banker and all you do is complain!

          He just put out a progressive conservative budget that is pro business and he previously cut taxes. Danny Smith is about to sign an agreement with him on energy development and carbon capture. If she can work with him then you guys should take note!

          PP has a resume that pales in comparison to Carney's. What real job has PP ever had other than living off taxpayers? And he refuses to change his tone and failing leadership style that alienates moderate conservative voters.

          ABPP - Anybody but PP. he is a dud!

            Some truth in that post CC. But I don't believe for a minute anyone gives up control to a blind trust.... anyone. What happens behind the curtain(veil of secrecy) won't be seen by Joe Public. I think blind trusts are nothing but a facade.

            Carney may have given up some corporate income but the dividends of being Canada's PM will accrue at a later date, probably at a greater value than the corporate income he forfieted.

              Yes the blind trust is not a full solution.

              But its a hell of lot better than the US system corruption which many posters think is better than ours.

              Trump has massive conflicts of interest and his family is getting super rich and these guys still support Trump! LOL

              Carney looks like an angel compared to that asshole!

                So we can admit there is corruption in possible in positions of power.

                Some countries worse, and some countries right up front.
                There are lists that rank them

                So a guy like Carney comes along who was debatably not in politics.
                But he was the guy watching the money come and go, I'm sure at times wondering where some of that money went when sent to countries at the bottom of the shithole list.
                Had many yrs to figure it all our.
                Now he's spends weeks in the jet flying to meetings making alliance with all those same fine people.
                He will be OK I think.
