Map renewable electrcity share across Europe

European countries have widely varying renewable electricity shares, with Albania, Norway, and Denmark leading at nearly 100% and 88.6% respectively, while countries like Slovakia, Malta, and the Czech Republic have some of the lowest shares. In the first half of 2025, the EU as a whole saw a 42.5% share of net electricity generation from renewables, but this varies significantly by month due to factors like weather affecting hydro and wind power.

    Too bad for them.

The highest ones ore blessed with huge Hydro production that they have used well before renewables became political.
You also have high levels of Nuclear included in the growing economies.

No one sees European wind and solar regulations as a desirable model to copy.
    Proving to be economic suicide.
Great Britain and Germany are the example no one wants to go to.

    Except maybe Mark Carey.

I see the naysayers and chronic complainers are irritated by the fact that much of Europe is already running on renewable electricity and reducing its dependence on fossil energy!

And the IEA has said that investments in green infrastructure and renewable energy are world wide, larger than the investments in fossil fuels.

        But who cares? LOL

Only fools ignore what is going on in the world!

Only fools ignore what's going on in the world?
          Germany is leading the way.
Their industrial production has dropped back to 2006 levels.
They are loosing energy intensive industry like steel production the fastest.
          They were traditionally world leaders
          Canada's chart looks very similar.
We are virtuous but the world is leaving us behind.

China the world's largest manufacturer is investing heavily in renewables and EVs to reduce fossil fuel imports and their industrial production, productivity and expertise is rising.

China has the world's largest industrial output, a position it has held since 2010, accounting for about 29% of global manufacturing output in 2023. As of late 2024, its industrial production growth was strong, driven by sectors like automobiles, electronics, and heavy machinery, although recent data for early 2025 shows a mixed picture. In 2024, the total value-added industrial output was approximately $5.65 trillion USD, and the industry serves as a major anchor for the country's economic growth.

            Key figures and recent performance
            • Global market share: In 2023, China produced 29% of the world's manufacturing output, nearly 12 percentage points more than the United States.
            • Value of output: In 2024, China's total value-added industrial output was about 40.5 trillion yuan, or approximately $5.65 trillion USD.
            • Recent growth: China's industrial output grew by 6.5% year-on-year in September 2025, the fastest pace since June, driven by strong growth in manufacturing and mining.
            • Productivity: 36 of 41 major industries recorded growth in September 2025, with notable increases in automotive (16.0%), computers and communications (11.3%), and railway and shipbuilding (10.3%).

China's manufacturing capacity in 2023 was as big as the United States, Japan and Germany combined!

You read to much spin, Chuck
China is increasing every energy source available.
Note the almost insignificant gas use that is increasing faster than the insignificant renewables.
Coal is the largest by far and they announced that will continue to some new nnver never date far in the future.

You need some real source of news Chuck, not spin docs.

                  Oh a revelation!

China is increasing every energy source. Well that includes solar and wind the sources, that you and your cousins say don't work!

Official Chinese policy is to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels.

It's along term plan that really threatens the oil industry.

That's why Trump is so worried because China has influence in so many parts of the world and will help spread green technology that will leave the US far behind.

Loony Donny wants us to go back to the good ole days!

Sorry to be the one to tell you Chuck, but considering the sources of your information, your very low on my list of people to take advice from about what's going on in China.
